A Testimonial from Jeremy “Wookie” Splain
The question is often asked now that I am instructor of why I train, and why I do so
at the Black Hole location. The answer is simple. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is my passion,
and Black Hole has become my family. Mike Wacker was my friend before my instructor,
and the day he introduced the sport to me I was hooked and have not stopped training
since then 6 years ago. I have visited and been exposed to other schools and locations,
but Black Hole is where is I call home. There is an incredible group of talented, kind hearted people there of all different ranks, gender, and age. Each individual person has something to offer, it is a judgment free place where we can all help each other and continue to grow in the sport as well as in our own personal lives. A lesson from which we have all learned from Wacker. He has set the example to always be there to help others out, and to not give up or become frustrated until they have achieved what they set out to do. The more one can learn and advance, the more they can help others learn and advance, that is what makes us a team; it is what makes us a family.
Wacker has created a comfortable, safe environment for all of us to train and has shown extreme dedication to both myself and the rest of his students to help us grow in the sport. He has been there whenever any of us have needed and is loved and respected by all of his students. He is an incredible person whose dedication and commitment knows no bounds, he is the prime example of what people should strive to be in life. He is a true friend. He is a true mentor.
