Mike is a Black Belt under Phil Miglariese, Steve Kardian (Balance Studio Jiu-Jitsu), and Rob Kahn (Gracie Tampa Jiu-Jitsu). At the age of 24, he is currently one of the youngest black belts in the state of New York, is a professional fighter with a sincerely impressive resume, a certified referee as well as the owner of his own school. Mike founded Black Hole Jiu-Jitsu in 2004 at the young age of 17.
The school was run out of a small gym in his basement with just a few students. It did not take long for word to spread about Michael’s gym and excessive talent in the sport and his number of students continued to grow. The “Black Hole” has now quadrupled in size and is run out of the Summerlin Plaza in Wappingers Falls. With over 70 students, his school continues to grow daily and is open to all ages, gender and experience levels. He is an extremely dedicated coach, friend, and fighter and is adamant about setting a good example for his school. Mike has several of his own students also very successfully emerging into the professional side of Jiu-Jitsu.
Mike has an extensive fighting resume starting in 1997. Until the present day, he holds 23 medals structured out to 2 Fourth place medals, 5 Bronze medals, 9 Silver medals, and 9 extremely impressive Gold medals. In 2004 he won the North American Grappling World Championship. In 2006 he had his first professional fight at the “Battle of Brooklyn” ending quickly in success. Winning the majority of his professional fights, Michael is still in the process of building his professional resume, training for fights in the nearfuture. With several big events to look out for, one of which is his big upcoming MMA debut. Mike Wacker is an idolized figure in this still growing world of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Mike may be a power house on the mat, but he is a kind, well mannered, stand up guy with so much to offer. He is a rare natural talent with a gift that is not often seen and is a true asset to this sport.
