Women’s Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (13 and up, Women Only): Sometimes, jumping right into a coed grappling environment is not the most palatable introduction into a new physical activity such as Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
Now, whether practitioners in our Women’s Program move onto the Intermediate or Advanced BJJ tracks, or stay in the Women’s BJJ curriculum, our commitment to each of them at Black Hole remains the same: They will learn Brazilian Jiu Jitsu from top-notch female instructors in a way that has been optimized to instill the confidence and muscle-memory necessary to prevent unwanted physical contact in a real-world scenario.
BJJ was founded on he principles of smaller grapplers being able to scientifically apply leverage-maximizing concepts to nullify a fully-resisting aggressive opponent. The Women’s Program distills this traditional curriculum even further and teaches only the highest percentage self-defense oriented techniques in order to provide the Women’s BJJ student with the best possible tool set for maintaining physical and emotional autonomy. Fitness benefits are a natural, but never accidental, by-product of the Women’s program as well.
